A multicultural East-London neighbourhood situated to the South-East of Stratford and the Olympic Park. There is little in the way of nightlife, and the area could hardly be described as fashionable, but there are streets of attractive Victorian and Edwardian houses, intermixed with large council blocks.

West Ham isn't a place people exactly rave about but I must say I rather liked it when I visited yesterday. There's a strong community feeling about the place and the area feels very multicultural. Streets of pretty attractive Victorian houses which from a glance online seem like very good value (for London!). There seem to be quite a few appealing looking restaurants for Indian or Bangladeshi cuisine. A bit lacking on the pub front I'm afraid. On the downside, West Ham station seems a long way away!
