A member of the East End group of locations, this trendy area, like it’s neighbours, is popular with young and creative crowd. Nestled between Dalston and Hackney, there's no shortage of hipster amenities within easy reach and, in addition to the Fields, there is easy access to Victoria Park.

I recently went to a birthday party in Netil 360 which is a very trendy rooftop bar with a dj and fantastic views over London which gave me an opportunity to explore the rest of the area. Broadway market and the farmers market offer plenty of good quality international food options. Not sure I’d live here personally as it feels a bit dirty in parts but I would definitely go back on weekends to walk around the market and experience more of the amazing street food.

A cool Hackney area well worth a visit for London Fields itself and also the bustling Broadway market. The Cat & Mutton at the northern end is a fine pub. I'd happily live in a flat on Broadway Market itself. Like much of the area it's scruffy in parts and the transport could be better. But the cool cafes, bars and independent shops make up in spades for these shortfalls.
