An East-London suburb located between Dagenham and Hornchurch, compromised mainly of estate-type housing built from the 1930's to 1950's, enjoying access to the open spaces of The Chase and Harrow Lodge. The town centre is split in two by the train tracks, with the northern portion less grim in appearance.
