Bounds Green

Situated on the other side of the train tracks separating it from the more fashionable Muswell Hill, Bounds Green is a fairly quiet, residential North London suburb. Bounds Green lacks a centre and it's not very exciting but it has a zone 3 tube station and offers relatively affordable housing.

I visited Bounds Green a few weeks ago to see some mates. What can I say? Easy to get to via Bounds Green tube station, which is on the Piccadilly Line. However, when you step out of the tube station the place doesn't make much of an impression. You're met with a dual carriageway, some pretty dreary looking suburban housing and a few shops. The overriding feeling you get about the place is that it just really isn't much of a place at all. It's not terrible but just a collection of houses that are nearby other locations that do have hubs of their own and a bit more character. Pretty heavy traffic moving down the A109 Bounds Green Road. The houses seemed of a reasonable size and standard, even if devoid of any character, but you'd want to be on one of the backstreets I think.
