An upmarket South-West London neighbourhood situated just south of the river, opposite Chelsea. Battersea is an energetic and lively part of London with plenty of things to do. Its residents are mainly young (and rich) professionals and on weekends it attracts tourists and families who come to visit the glorious Battersea Park and eat, drink and shop in and around the newly re-developed Battersea Power station. Situated just south of the river Thames some of its modern apartments boast tremendous views over the city, though they don’t come cheap - You’d be looking at £1m+ for one of its nicer two bed flats with river views. In Battersea Park you will always find something to do, whether you’re an adult or a kid. There is a zoo, a race track, a pond and there’s even a Go Ape for the more active type. Although the area in and around the power station is targeted towards the wealthy, you will find more affordable housing further away from the river.
