A desirable area in the borough of Islington, Angel caters largely to a younger crowd. Being at the higher end of affordable living, it has pretty residential streets and a vibrant high street including an array of bars, pubs and music venues, making the night-life a driver for popularity.

Not being from around here, I’d consider it to be a pretty hip area. Being from West London as soon as I got out of Angel station I noticed the difference. It felt a bit rough around the edges at first and I felt a bit outside my comfort zone but the more I walked around the more I started to like it. Pretty townhouses line its streets with lots of pubs, bars and international restaurants dotted around attracting a younger population. I’m not sure how affordable it would be to live around here but I can certainly see the appeal! At least definitely worth a weekend visit or a night out if you’re looking for something different to the west end nightlife.
