Better than I had expected
19/04/2022I took the tube to Paddington and walked down to Hyde Park via Bayswater. I have to say I didn't expect it to be all that nice around there. My impression had been that Paddington wasn't all that desirable, as central London locations go. It's pretty good looking, with some pleasant looking cafes and restaurants around. The little terraces tucked away down side streets look very appealing too. No doubt they aren't cheap, but I suspect not as expensive as some other central London locations.

Paddington has some nice parts like Little Venice. It is not often held in conversations of desirable locations. However, it has a lot of the benefits of Central London but without a lot of the noise and tourists. Pergolla is a nice roof top bar but does attract quite a young crowd. There are plenty of good choices for food in Sheldon Square (i.e. Paddington Business Park). I highly recommend the Lebanese restaurant, Massis. Best Fatoush in West London!
