Maida Vale is undoubtedly a "nice" area, with attractive and no doubt very expensive houses. However there doesn't seem to be much going on there. I suppose if you lived there you'd have easy access to other, more exciting parts of the city. But Maida Vale itself appears to be very dull

Maybe lacking in pubs and certainly more of a residential area but it has lots of independent restaurant and cafe options, especially around Elgin Avenue / Lauderdale Road
