Not the prettiest place at first glance when I initially walked out the station but after walking around for a few minutes its charm started to grow on me. Walking through St George’s Gardens there’s some nice street art and a historic Church. A short walk south takes you towards some cool rooftop bars like the Skylight in Tobacco Dock. There are some lively karaoke pubs too if that is your thing. Walking further south takes you to lively Wapping. Shadwell station served by the Overground line provides good transport links and only one stop to Whitechapel station you can now get the Elizabeth line into Central and West London with ease and speed!
