A town with a great park to cycle around with great elevations & a lap distance of around 7 miles which is long enough to break a sweat! I love the fact that it feels very un-park like with no manicured lawns or fancy plant beds - it is about as close to the countryside that you can get in a city and has the freshest air that you can find in London. Although i have never lived there, i could imagine that if i did, i would be tempted to join one of the local rowing clubs as you can find many dotted around on the river between Richmond & Kew. The only downside is that the transport links are not great and if you are driving north of the river, the bridges are often a bottle neck & create length traffic jams on both sides.
