London Bridge is a rather dry area. It's dominated by the big train station and the bridge for which the location is known isn't pretty or interesting. It's a handy transport hub of course and home to Guy's hospital, which is an amazing place. It's also close to other, more interesting areas such as Borough and Bermondsey on either side. But sadly there's little of interest in the area itself. Tooley Street and the Hays Gallery area are simply dull, featuring mainly chain bars and restaurants such as Cote and Gaucho. You can walk along the river here, either in the direction of Tower Bridge or west towards the Southbank. But there isn't much to keep you here once you exit the station.
