Granted, holborn is first and foremost an office district and, yes, it is crawling with suits and lawyers and other business types. But if you can see past that there is actually much to enjoy here. Firstly, Holborn is on the eastern and oldest side of central London. As such there are many historic buildings to visit, including St. Andrew’s church, designed by Christopher Wren. You’ll also find some of London’s most historic pubs, such as the old mitre ( https://www.yeoldemitreholborn.co.uk ) and the seven stars ( https://www.thesevenstars1602.co.uk ). Both worth a visit to the area in their own right! Food wise there is also the wonderful leather Lane market. An incredible long road of food stalls serving all the office workers every day! It would be pretty expensive to live here, I imagine, but not so much as the fancier west end.
