Decent nightlife despite city location
19/07/2022You might expect it to be pretty dull around here, given where it is. However, there are some pretty decent bars and restaurants in the Farringdon area, particularly around the old Smithfields Market. One of London's most famous clubs, Fabric, can be found here. To help dispel fears about the area being full of suits, Fabric won't even let you in if you're wearing one!

I used to work around there and it was pretty good fun. Bars of Smithfield such as Beduin are open pretty late on a week night. A very “office” crowd though Yes also some historic pubs with these being the old part of London. The towering shiny office buildings that dwarf these pubs inevitably detracts from the atmosphere somewhat.
