Where is London's best nightlife?

Some people tell me Soho is the best place to go out. It can seem a bit touristy to me. Others say Shoreditch... I've also been out here and found it a little too cool for school. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

It really depends on what you are looking for in terms of music, crowd and ambience! It will also largely depend on how big your wallet is as well! For me, Mayfair offers the best night life in London. You have some of the best and highly sought after Private Members clubs in the World such as Annabells. It is arguably the hardest club to get into in London (you need two referrals for membership alone). Mayfair offers some of the world's best restaurants in Gordon Ramsey's Lucky Cat, Nobu, Novikov, Sexy Fish and Amazonica. Dining experience on another level. The best bars (that often turn into clubs) in London are Monkey House, IT, Socialista and Nikita. Club wise it is slightly more limited but you have the likes of Oscars and Luxx (ex-Funky Bhuda, Charlies). Mayfair offers a unique quality of beautiful women, rich experiences, weird and wonderful characters and nights you will never forget.
